My reason for being positive is that I do not believe it is easy to design a good GPS chip. First of all, GRMN designed their own chip but they adopted to use SiRF StarIII chip for all their top line products. Secondly, SiRF Marketing VP said that even SiRF is still learning how to master the GPS system.

Anyone with strong technical background and knowledge of GPS chip design please add your input.</description>
