OLED stock for the future (Video included)

I was on Digg.com today and saw a story on the front page about OLED’s. So that took me to Techeblog.com where I saw this cool video of a flexible OLED. The OLED on display here is made by Universal Dispay Corporation (Nasdaq: PANL).

I bought Universal Display (PANL) late last year in the $9’s and then sold it in the $13’s earlier this year. Since then, I have put the stock on the backburner but watching this video has got me excited again. The stock is currently trading at $11.20 but it seems like it might go lower.

The future is still pretty far away but the market could be huge. The market for OLED and paper like displays will reach $10.2 billion by 2011 according to research firm NanoMarkets. It further expects this market to grow to $14.7 billion by 2013.

The stock is extensively covered by Motely Fool and is a Motley Fool Rule Breakers pick.
