OLED and PANL are in different camps. While OLED's IP is polymer based PANL's is small molecule based. Small molecules are already in production in several secondary cell phonje displays. Small molecules come in two flavors : Flourescent (patents expiring 2007) and Phosphorescent (IP till 2017+) PANL specifically brings the more energy efficient Phosphorescent chemicals. IMHO flourescents will rule cheap displays and Phosphors will be chosen in energy conscious apps. Samsung is expected to be rolling out mixed P+F next year as primary display for cell phones. There is no P-Blue that is commercially viable as lifetime stability has not yet been reached by PANL on blues. Meanwhile CDT seems to be blowing a lot of hot air. Do not forsee any commercially successful polymer OLED products in the next 3-4 years. For not Advantage PANL!

We are starting to see this technology emerge in cell phones and gadgets that have smaller displays. I need to do more research into OLED's.
