Alvarion is down but not out

Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR) is in a transition phase until WIMAX takes off. It is a known fact that this company has the know-how and the expertise to dominate the WIMAX sector. Although, we are still maybe a year away from WIMAX going mainstream, I think within the next 6 months we will start to see the hype gaining ground. The stock has a very attractive valuation right now and continues to test 52 week lows. I don’t see this going much lower from here and see a tremendous upside. Another thing to keep in mind is that Alvarion might get bought out once WIMAX starts to pick steam. There are a lot major companies (Cisco anyone?) that haven’t paid a lot of attention to WIMAX yet and I can see one of them buying out a company like Alvarion Ltd. to get into WIMAX. Check back soon as I will post a lot more detailed view in Alvarion. We will see WIMAX gaining ground internationally before we see a lot of it in the US.
